Men's fashion is very conservative and perfect in its conciseness, especially the part that concerns shoes. Take, for example, classic shoes, because they have been a key detail of a business image for several centuries in a row.

Shoes as a type of footwear appeared in the Middle Ages, then the fashion for them was dictated by the kings, issuing orders on exactly how the shoes of a particular era should look. But we will talk about the unchanging English classics, because English gentlemen have always been an example of a stylish, elegant and successful man. The prototype of English classic shoes appeared in the 18th century in Scotland, then it was more like low shoes that were fastened with buttons. But thanks to the students, uncomfortable low shoes eventually transformed into classic lace-up shoes and became part of the wardrobe of any stylish man of that time. Later, already in the 20th century, such models of classic shoes as brogues, derbies and oxfords appeared, it was the last model that students at Oxford University brought into fashion, making it their trademark. The fashion for stylish, but still discreet oxfords is picked up not only by students, but also by aristocrats, politicians and simply fashionable dandies of those times. The greatest connoisseur of Oxfords was the English politician Winston Churchill, one of the most influential people in the history of Great Britain. It was he who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in his most difficult years and was able to lead his Europe out of the most difficult financial crisis. Being in power during the Second World War and in the difficult post-war years, Winston Churchill did as much for his Europe as none of his predecessors could do later. It was his style, three-piece suit, invariable bowler hat and polished Oxfords that went down in history as the most conservative image of a wise and elegant man.
