Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent Paris, also known as Yves Saint Laurent, is the renowned French fashion house that embodies love, sensuality, a zest for life, and a rebellious nature. Its founder, Yves Saint Laurent, was born in Algeria in 1936, into a family of French aristocrats. At the age of 17, he moved to Paris to study at the School of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. His training proved successful, and he caught the attention of fashion industry insiders at the Woolmark competition, where he was recognized alongside Karl Lagerfeld. Yves Saint Laurent's innovative designs impressed the editor-in-chief of Vogue, who recommended him for a position at Dior. After a few years, he became the head designer of the prestigious brand. However, in 1960, he faced difficulties when he was conscripted into the Algerian army and experienced a nervous breakdown that led to hospitalization after only 20 days. Consequently, he was inexplicably dismissed from Dior. Yves Saint Laurent took legal action, won the case, and received compensation for the injustice.

In 1961, with the support of his partner Pierre Bergé and financial backing from American entrepreneur John Mack Robinson, Yves Saint Laurent established his own fashion company. His very first collection was a resounding success. Yves Saint Laurent revolutionized women's fashion by infusing it with sensuality and luxury, celebrating the beauty of the female form. Shortly after, he launched his debut women's fragrance, "Y." This was followed by a series of men's and women's collections that captivated the fashion world. The "40s" collection, which exuded a flea market aesthetic, caused a sensation and ignited a trend for retro style. Yves Saint Laurent received an Oscar for his costume design for Catherine Deneuve in the film "Belle de Jour," and Deneuve subsequently became his muse. The men's fragrance "Pour Hommes" sparked controversy when Yves Saint Laurent himself posed nude for its promotional photos.

By 1990, the fashion maestro grew weary of the industry's demands and enlisted Hedi Slimane to oversee the men's collections. In 1999, Dior acquired a majority stake in Yves Saint Laurent, and Tom Ford was appointed as the creative director, infusing the fashion house with sexiness and relevance. Yves Saint Laurent retired from the fashion industry in 2002, and in 2004, Tom Ford also departed after a falling out with management. Stefano Pilati assumed the helm and reevaluated the brand's archives, introducing a new style characterized by modern classics. This transformation propelled Yves Saint Laurent to become one of the most coveted brands in the world.

Today, the men's collections of Yves Saint Laurent encompass a wide range of stylish and luxurious apparel and accessories, including shirts, hoodies, coats, T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, bombers, jackets, trousers, belts, bags, and shoes. Authentic men's products from Yves Saint Laurent can be purchased in Europe at attractive prices with delivery to all cities in the country through the official website of the Symbol online store.
