A year later, the brand released its ready-to-wear Pret-a-Porter collection. International recognition came knocking on the Lebanese designer's door in 2002 when Halle Berry graced the Oscars in an Elie Saab dress. The wine-colored gown featured floral appliques on the bodice.

In May 2003, Elie Saab gained membership into the Paris Syndicate of High Fashion, and his subsequent couture collection was showcased during Paris Fashion Week. Since then, Elie Saab collections have exclusively been presented in Paris. The first flagship boutique opened its doors in Beirut in 2005, with a sprawling multi-story store following suit on the Champs-Elysées in Paris in 2007.
