Men's suits are a whole story. Interesting? Click on "Read more".
For the first time, the men's jacket appeared in France in the early 17th century, but not all fashion historians agree with this and claim that Arabs wore jackets 1000 years ago. However, in France, the jacket was not simply part of the men's wardrobe, at that time it was a privileged garment and was only worn with the permission of the king. One of the most interesting facts about jackets is the appearance of buttons on the sleeves, which are actually non-functional. Who sewed them there? During the war with Russia, Napoleon Bonaparte ordered buttons to be sewn on the sleeves so that his generals and admirals with colds would not wipe their noses on them. The fashion of jackets changed, but the buttons remained on the sleeves. In the 20th century, jackets became more popular among the male population and began to be worn in everyday life. In 1990, the fashion house Dolce & Gabbana presented its first men's collection to the world, receiving the prestigious Woolmark Award for it. And in 1994 they launched their famous double-breasted jacket "La Turlington", named after American model Christy Turlington.
