Miu Miu is an Italian fashion brand. In 1992, Miuccia Prada, the granddaughter of the founder of the fashion house Prada, who was able to continue the family business, created her own brand Miu Miu, targeting the younger generation. But Miuccia not only became the founder of a fashion brand, she also gave it her own name, as Miu Miu was the designer's childhood nickname.

Miuccia Prada, who has been running her grandfather's company since 1978, has always adhered to the conservative views of the Prada brand and released only expensive classics with its strict lines and elegant silhouettes. Thus, in 1989, the world of fashion saw the first pret-a-porter collection by designer Miuccia Prada, which quickly won over customers who preferred refined luxury and clean lines. It was then that Miuccia first thought about creating her own brand, which would allow her to deviate from conservative views.

Thus, in 1992, the brand Miu Miu was born, and just a year later, the first women's collection was released, which Miuccia Prada presented to the public at the annual fashion show in Paris. The Miu Miu brand instantly became popular, and Miuccia was able to show the high fashion world that couture clothing is not only luxurious classical suits. And although the designer conceived her own line of clothing as an embodiment of freedom of creativity, unlimited by any boundaries, the first collection of the Miu Miu brand went down in the history of high fashion.

In 1993, Miuccia Prada received a prestigious award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and in 1994, the first men's collection of the Miu Miu brand was released. Around the same time, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar magazines were the first to publish photos of the new collections. It was then that Miuccia Prada began opening Miu Miu brand stores around the world, with locations in America, China, and Japan.

In 2008, the production of men's collections for the Miu Miu brand was suspended, and all efforts were focused on creating women's looks.

The main advantage of the Miu Miu brand is freshness, novelty, a non-standard view of the world of high fashion, and a modern stylish minimalism. Miu Miu products are suitable for young and bold women who are not afraid to experiment with their style, preferring bright looks to classics. Miu Miu collections always emphasize refined simplicity, boldly combining the classics of the past with avant-garde and complementing completed looks with bright and original accessories.

Now, Miu Miu has separated from the Prada fashion house and has become an independent brand, with designers releasing new bright collections season after season. And Miuccia Prada has been awarded a prize by the American Academy for her invaluable contribution to the history of fashion and art.
