David Koma, also known as David Komakhidze, is a designer hailing from Georgia. He was born in 1985 and at the age of 9, he relocated to St. Petersburg with his family. By the age of 13, he had already started his fashion studies and participated in a competition for young designers. At 15, he presented his first collection, "Defile na Neve". David attended the B.M. Kustodiev Art School and later enrolled in the "Moukhina" - A.L. Stieglitz Academy. However, his ultimate aspiration was to study at Saint Martins in London, which his parents eventually facilitated. David pursued his master's degree under the renowned professor Louise Wilson. His thesis work included participation in the 2009 London Fashion Week, where he won the prestigious Harrods Design Award with his sensational collection called "Pretty Woman". The collection quickly sold out, earning David a red diploma. That same year, the David Koma brand was established, followed by a collaboration with Topshop. In due course, David's wife Sasha became his business partner, overseeing the brand's organizational and financial aspects.
